As you undoubtedly know, prices for new cars are not fixed in stone. In fact, one of the biggest challenges in purchasing a new vehicle is negotiating the price. It's easy to find the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), also known as sticker price, and you can also look up the dealer's cost or "invoice" online. But what you actually pay for your vehicle can be another number entirely.

How supply and demand impacts you
In the car business, supply and demand conditions are constantly changing, so the "best" price for a specific car can vary widely over short periods of time. California has such a dynamic new car marketplace that the best price today may not be the best price in a few days, a week, or a month.

For example, if the demand for a certain model of car—or that model in a popular color, or with a particular set of options—is very high at a given point, the best price for that car may be close to or at the MSRP. If demand for that car decreases, or if the supply of it increases, the best possible price might go down accordingly.

In contrast, the best price for commonly available vehicles, or models that dealers don't want to keep in inventory too long, will probably be more flexible. In those cases, it's realistic to be able to purchase the vehicle for less than the suggested retail price. And if there happen to be any special sales incentives for these vehicles when you're taking delivery, we have even more negotiating power. Regardless of supply and demand factors, we will always get you a lower price for your new car than you can get on your own.
