Oakland resident and Pixar employee, Jessica wanted to replace her aging Volkswagen Golf, but didn't want to deal with the stress of the traditional process. On a friend's recommendation, she decided to try Cartelligent.
Q. How did you decide it was time for a new car?
A: I'd been driving my old car (Vonda, a 2003 Volkswagen Golf) for the better part of 10 years. While she held up well, she was starting to need more and more work and was less and less reliable. After a few years of thinking about it, I figured it was time!
Q. How did you choose the Volkswagen GTI?
A: I loved my previous Volkswagen for many reasons, so knew I wanted to keep in the German car arena. That, plus how much I love the practicality of a hatchback, made my decision rather easy. I decided to stay in the Golf family but get something a bit speedier and nicer; a GTI.
Q. Why did you decide to use Cartelligent?
A: After a trip or two to dealerships, I realized I didn't want all the hassle of dealing with a car salesperson. The negotiations, the charade—I just wanted to buy a car and that's it!
