Palo Alto resident, Teri, was looking for a new electric vehicle. After hearing about Cartelligent on the radio, she gave us a call to help avoid the traditional process.
Q. What made you realize it was time for a new car?
A: I sold my 10-year-old BMW over a year ago and was driving our third car an Acura MDX that was starting to fall apart. I wanted an electric car but was waiting for better technology and options.
Q. How did you decide on the BMW i3?
A: I wanted an electric car. I also wanted it to be somewhat luxury since I drove BMW for 10 years. I didn't want a Tesla. I also didn't want a hybrid. I waited for technology to improve and the i3 was one of few more luxury electric vehicles available.
Q. Why did you decide to use Cartelligent?
A: I hate car dealerships. Even at the dealer I visited to test drive the car, I found the sales guy untrustworthy, and I wasn't sure he was telling me the truth. He told me what he thought I should get and he didn't really take into account what I wanted. For example, I told him I wanted leather, that was really the only extra I cared about and he told me I shouldn't pay for it and that I should look at the cloth ones he had on the lot.
Q. What did you like best about working with Cartelligent?
A: I told my agent, Dakotah, what I wanted and he did the best to find me that car. He told me what was out there based on what I wanted and we tried to find the closest match.
Q. What surprised you about the Cartelligent car buying experience?
A: It was super easy and low-key, and Dakotah negotiated a good lease.
