At Cartelligent, we work directly with individual clients and help them weigh their options to decide exactly which car is best for them.

People often ask which brands are most popular with our clients. Here you’ll find a list of the top results in 2017. There are some surprises from our 2016 numbers including a change in our top-selling vehicle.

10. Volvo (2016 Ranking #11)

Volvo came close to making our list for the first time last year, ranking in at 11th. This year, the popularity of the redesigned XC90 brings it officially into the top ten. We expect this trend to continue in 2018 with the release of the new XC60.

Top sellers include the XC60 (shown), XC90, and V60.

9. Mazda (2016 Ranking #8)

Cartelligent clients appreciate the distinctive looks, sporty handling, and strong fuel economy that Mazda offers, as well as the wide variety of technology features provided.

Top sellers include the CX-5, CX-9 (shown), and Mazda3.

8. Chevrolet (2016 Ranking #14)

The Chevy Bolt single-handedly drove the brand’s sales skyward with Cartelligent clients, accounting for about half of all Chevrolet sales.

Top sellers include the Bolt (shown), Volt, and Tahoe.

7. Volkswagen (2016 Ranking #7)

Volkswagen holds steady at number seven on our list. The brand new Atlas is already a popular choice, as well as the Golf family of vehicles.

Top sellers include the Jetta, Golf, GTI, eGolf and Golf SportWagen, as well as the Atlas (shown) and Tiguan SUVs.

6. Mercedes-Benz (2016 Ranking #6)

Mercedes-Benz combines German engineering with stylish exteriors and immaculately appointed interiors. Both sedans and SUVs are top choices among our clients.

Top sellers include the C-Class and E-Class, as well as the GLS-Class, GLC-Class, and GLE-Class.

5. Subaru (2016 Ranking #4)

Cartelligent clients love the rugged looks and durability of the Subaru brand; their highly-awarded Eyesight system of safety features is often requested.

Top sellers include the Forester (shown), Outback, Crosstek, and redesigned Impreza.

4. Honda (2016 Ranking #5)

Honda owners love the reliability and high resale value the brand provides. The Odyssey minivan is a popular option, along with the CR-V and Pilot SUVs.

Top sellers include the CR-V, Odyssey, Civic, and Pilot (shown).

3. BMW (2016 Ranking #2)

BMW bills itself as the Ultimate Driving Machine and, as usual, Cartelligent clients seem to agree. A little over half of Cartelligent’s BMW clients chose sedans over SUV’s in 2017, but the X5 was our overall top-selling BMW.

Top sellers include the 3 Series, 4 Series, and the X1, X3, and X5 (shown) SUVs.

2. Toyota (2016 Ranking #1)

Toyota dropped one place from our 2016 rankings, but remains a popular choice. A little over half of our Toyota clients chose a hybrid option.

1. Audi (2016 Ranking #3)

Audi’s clean lines and sporty handling make the brand a favorite with Cartelligent clients. The brand’s SUVs, the roomy Q7, ever-popular Q5 and smaller Q3, make up over half of our Audi sales.

Why we love it: With space inside for up to eight and a variety of safety features either standard or available, the Highlander is a great choice for busy families.
